Mrs. Valerie Moore

Academic Dean / Director of Operations

Valerie Moore-1.jpg

Valerie Moore graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After moving to Texas with her husband, she was drawn to education as a vocation, and began the journey to obtain her Texas teaching certificate, qualifying for Generalist (4-8), Life Sciences (8-12), and Art (EC-12). Mrs. Moore worked at Kirbyville CISD up until the birth of her twin boys.

Mrs. Moore has a special insight into the mission of Veritas Classical Academy as she started seven years ago as a parent when she enrolled her children in the Pre-Grammar and Grammar School. After enjoying a few years at home, she decided to return to the classroom by becoming a 2nd Grade teacher at Veritas where her daughter Lily was a student. Not long afterwards, her special gifts and wisdom were recognized, and she was promoted to Lower School Principal. She is excited to be teaching and leading in a Christ-centered environment and daily encourages a positive, discipleship environment in our lower school.

Mrs. Moore has discovered that she has a keen passion for classical Christian education and has diligently continued her education in this special and unique field throughout her years at Veritas. She has also served on multiple accreditation site visits for the Association of Classical and Christian Schools. She and her husband are also involved in their local church where she ministers to 3rd-6th grade girls on Sunday nights and also serves as the director of the women's ministry. In her free time, Mrs. Moore enjoys baking, good books and quality time with friends and family!
