Mock Trial

Mock Trial

Combining public speaking, rhetorical persuasion, reasoning, and drama, Mock Trial is a primary academic extracurricular for Veritas high school students. In 2018, our first year competing and with a team consisting of only 9th and 10th graders, Veritas achieved second place in our local district and two of our students received awards at the state competition in Dallas. In 2019, Veritas again placed locally and returned to the state competition. In 2020, Veritas won our local competition and placed 8th statewide. In addition, one of our students won “Best Advocate” for the entire state. In 2021, Veritas placed 2nd in the state, 8th in 2022, and 7th in 2023, and 9th in 2024, making five consecutive years of top ten results, the only team in the state to have done so.

ACCREDITATION

Veritas Classical Academy is fully accredited by the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) and the Christian Latin School Association (CLSA). ACCS is an approved accreditor of the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC).
